We have a large area of soft fruit at Pearce’s, available for visitors either to pick themselves, a popular activity with families, or to buy in the shop and our café also uses them to make our delicious puddings, tarts and crumbles.
Strawberries
We first started growing strawberries in 1978 and now cultivate a number of varieties which ripen at different times and means you can pick strawberries from May through until late October. They are all grown on the table top structure so our more elderly or infirm customers can also enjoy picking their own too! With the super rainwater harvesting system for irrigation we can guarantee a wonderful tasty supply for many months.
Raspberries
Growing some of our raspberries under cover has meant we have extended the picking season from June to October to grow a few varieties including the golden raspberry.
